Dear Martin,

This error can occur in case of an improper installation of Exalead one:desktop. To fix this problem, you will need to stop your one:desktop first and then uninstall it.
After re-installing, if the problem still persists, please try switching off the ExaleadDesktop Redirector in the windows service manager and try again. These actions should fix the problem.
Please let me know if you need further guidance.

i deff i agree with the suggestions some of them can actually work with exalead as far as the control over time. as well the saved searches.

This issue may be caused by the ExaleadDesktop Redirector that is normally only used on terminal server to emulate several instances of the same one:desktop.

What I would advise is that you deactivate the Redirector:

1.Stop your exalead one:desktop (right click on one:desktop icon in the notification area and "Quit")
2.Stop the ExaleadDesktop Redirector service (control panel>administrative tools> Services and stop ExaleadDesktop Redirector)
3.Change the ExaleadDesktop Redirector startup type and set it to manual (same route as above. Right click on the ExaleadDesktop Redirector select properties - on the General tab change the startup type to manual.)
4.Start your Exalead one:desktop.

I believe this should solve the issue. Let me know if the problem still persists

had the same experience at home - which is a very similar setup compared to the one @work (XP SP2, FF3). Wonder what is going on. I deactivated my firewall (pulled the plug on the internet) - no effect.

Yes, I very much agree about the slow indexing issue.

I love Exalead, but when I for example search site:http://www.laptopgpsworld.com I only get one single result (as of today, January 30, 2008). On the other hand, Google gives me 1,190 results when I use the same method of searching pages on http://www.laptopgpsworld.com

I just noticed, that the firefox search plugin now features typing suggestions. Good job on implementing this feature! However I noticed that the suggestions are exclusively French for now. Furthermore, words in another language are apparently not recognized, so no suggestions are given, for example, for a simple german word like "Rechner" (=computer, calculator).

I hope this system will be expanded in the future.

Trying out a small chat interface for exalead users could be neat. Would keep users at exalead.com and would force them to be more interactive with the site, thus using it more. No mail, just chat.

Shouldnt just focus on the iphone, in the next years its common knowledge that most people that will be introduced to the internet will be introduced through a type of mobile device or something along those lines. They'd probably get something more user friendly also, rather than the iphone. Developments for the already popular phone with easily available development kits now would already be up an running. Some places in Europe can't even use the iphone because its locked so other types of devices are developed and opensourced for much easier development. Creating the site to work mobile is the best idea anyone has posted and its been posted a couple times.

I think that is an EXALEAD idea. But many pages will not change when loading up. Exalead takes it from the last memory batch. So you read often the old stuff.
