I think I reproduced the fact. I added a pdf to you exalead.nsf Database via "New" and than searched for it (index was made up to date), but exalead coud not find it!

Exalead one:desktop v4.6.0.515 (Free) Not Indexing All Lotus Notes Attachments
I noticed that Exalead was finding some but not all PDFs attached to Lotus Notes documents. Searching on
source:"Lotus Notes" filetype:pdf
only finds PDFs in mail and archive databases, but not in databases based on other templates. The same problem also shows up with DOC attachments.

To reproduce this problem, enter in the following in the Exalead Desktop search box
source:"Lotus Notes" filetype:pdf
Although there are numerous documents with attached PDFs, the only documents Exalead found were in two Lotus Notes Archive databases and the Sent folder of my mail database.
I got the same result using the following search string, except one of the documents was in the Drafts folder of my mail database.
source:"Lotus Notes" filetype:doc
