'm currently running on Windows XP SP2, with an Intel Pentium 4 (3 GHz) and 512 MB of RAM - Internet Explorer 7.0 and Firefox 2.0. Perhaps the only "special" thing is that in my case Windows is installed on a logical partition (so that my Windows directory is D:\WINDOWS and not C:\WINDOWS as usual - and I know that a (very) few programs with hard-coded "C:\[something]" in their install procedure didn't work correctly, so maybe there's the problem ? I'll try on my other copy of Windows which is installed on a primary partition (so with the same computer configuration but with a "C:\WINDOWS"...) and I'll keep you informed.
Previews don't work for me in Exalead-Desktop (for images, videos, etc.)
I just downloaded Exalead Desktop (v. 4.6) and tried it on several folders containing images and videos (not too big folders, about 50-500 files), indexation seemed to work fine (it took only a couple of minutes each time and files are correctly retrieved in "text only mode") but previews never work for most files (even for JPEG or AVI files...). It worked however for some WMV and some BMP files (but not for all of them ), so I guess this functionality is supposed to work as for Web searches. Also, links like "Open containing folder" or "Delete" produce no effect when clicking on it. I tried with both IE and Firefox (even with the lowest Intranet security restrictions), nothing changes...
