<body>On a Vista 32-bit Ultimate laptop with 2GB of RAM, my typical physical memory usage is between 60-65% with a fair number of applications running. With Exalead running, physical memory usage is 90% and higher. This causes a large amount of pagefile activity when coming out of screensaver.

The actual numbers from Task Manager do not seem that bad. The Exalead tasks add up to working set of 150.5MB and 2MB of the paged pool. Firefox currently shows a 316MB working set and Word is using 720KB of the paged pool. It may be that Exalead is just one more large application that causes the system to thrash.</body>

<body>I noticed that Exalead was finding some but not all PDFs attached to Lotus Notes documents. Searching on

only finds PDFs in mail and archive databases, but not in databases based on other templates. The same problem also shows up with DOC attachments.</body>

<body>Although Exalead is indexing the Calendar and Todo views in my Notes 8.5 inbox, I cannot search on any documents that are only in the Inbox view.

I had reported a similar problem on 2008/07/24 (ticket #2711) and was informed that this problem was fixed in 4.6.0.432. I confirmed that this version resolved the problem. However, it appears to have returned.</body>

<body>I reported a problem in August 2006 against Exalead one:desktop Pro 4.0.945.50 where some Notes documents were not fully indexed. On Sept. 7/2006, Damien Dykman indicated that Exalead was only indexed the first Body field even if the Notes document had multiple Body fields.

I reported the same issue against the free version in June 2008. Charles Rosso was able to reproduce the problem with a test database that I provided him (ticket #2455).

I just confirmed that the problem exists in 4.6.0.515. Accuracy of indexing is essential for a search engine. Is this problem recognized and if so, when will it be fixed?

If it is fixed in the Pro version, how do I go about purchasing a license? I am a one-person shop.
       thanks, Norbert

    <body>Hello,
On the Exalead Search Engine main page, there's a link that says 'Other Countries'.
When I click on that link, there's a mention of China, but the flag that is shown above it, is not the flag of China.

China's flag is red with yellow stars in the top left corner.

Could you correct this?

Thank you!

Joe

<body>Intermittently, I have run into problems were I am unable to modify or delete files ('Access is denied'). Sometimes, rebooting solves the problem, but the problem seems to move to different files. In other cases, a reboot does nothing.

Using ProcessExplorer, I found that exalead had locked these files. Closing exalead allowed me to modify/delete the files. I am running Exalead one desktop Free 4.6.0.504. </body>

<body>Exalead indexes only the first 4 or 5 pages of the .doc documents. If I search for a phrase within the first 4 or 5 pages, it works. If I search in an higher page, no result.

I made some more test: I think that the files are indexed, but the search engine manage only single words and not phrases. Always with the limit explained here above (ok for the first 4 or 5 pages, but not for the other pages).</body>
